Background color
The background color is the underlying color for the slide color scheme. All new colors are added on top of the background color. Choosing an appropriate background color is important. For on-screen presentations, a dark background works best. For a presentation on an overhead projector, a white or light background works best. To change the background color, change the first color in the color scheme.
NOTE: The color scheme is based on the basic set of eight colors possible for use with any slide. The color scheme consists of three parts:
1) a background color,
2) a color for lines and text, and
3) six more colors (for example, shadow colors, fill colors, and accent colors) that are chosen to achieve a desired look. Accent colors are three of the six final colors chosen. Color schemes can be applied to slides and to notes pages.
